Ocean Seafood Village (Kota Kinabalu) - 3 Aug 2007

The Restaurant

A swimming garoupa in the restaurant...

...and a live lobster too!

What we ordered : Stir-fried Sabah vege (only served in Sabah)

The Dish : Geo Pei Lor (in Cantonese)

This is the famous "Chat Sing Pan" (literally translated as 7 stars garoupa)

Fresh abalone

Total bill : RM219 for 3 adults and 2 kids. Cheap yah?

Bukit Tambun - 19 April 2007

Dishes : Oyster Fried Egg, Japanese Scallop, Deep Fried Sotong (Calamari)
Verdict : Oysters were big (much to my dislike cos I prefer baby oysters), scallops are fresh and sotong was very crunchy. Hmmm, delicious!

Dish : Stir-fried vege with garlic
Verdict : Yummy!

Dish : Steamed Garoupa
Verdict : Fresh to the bone

Dish : Stewed Calamari in Soya Sauce
Verdict : Already half gone before I could take a picture out of it. So, what do you think? Cholesterol level hit ceiling that day for everyone.

Price for all : RM140 for 4 adults and 2 kids. Considered very cheap as the Garoupa alone could have easily passed out at that price.
